Join us for this year's Last Ditch Open Golf Tournament on Friday, July 22nd. Each year, NUCA of Washington members and friends gather to play golf, have fun, and help raise money for scholarships for deserving college students from the community. Annually, we average over $2000 in scholarship funds to students pursing a career within the civil construction industry. We are able to do this through sponsorships, donations, and participation at this annual event.  Don't forget to check out our event page for this year's tournament!

On Wednesday, April 29, 2015, Governor Jay Inslee signed into law HB 1601. HB 1601, the venue bill, helps level the playing field in construction contracts with counties throughout the state. HB 1601 allows contractors to sue a county in either that county or one of the two nearest counties. This legislation helps provide an impartial forum for contractors, and promotes fairness. The significant work that led to the passing of this legislation was spearheaded by NUCA of Washington, with support from the AGC of Washington.

Bob Marconi is the chair of NUCA of Washington’s Legislative Committee.
